Running At Night!

I am trying to find out if running at night is the best way to stay fitness and achieve weight loss.

Right now I running 5 miles three days a week in about 35 minutes so I am going at a good speed. I eat around 6pm and run at 8pm so it gives my body a chance to digest and prepare itself for the workout.

I believe running at night is the best as when we run and workout we raise our body's temperature leading to raising our metabolism. Doing this at night I believe is the best way to burn fat while sleeping to keep the metabolism going throughout the night.

It has also been helping me sleep a lot better so right now I am giving running at night two thumbs up.

I will writing some articles on this issue on my website top weight loss site but for now the results speak for themself as I feel great in the morning and have got down to 7.5% body fat.

If anyone has any input or may know something about this way to exercise please tell me so I can find out if it is true or not.

Have a great day and God bless!

What To And Not To Eat For Weight Loss!

As I have mentioned before that a diet is what you eat and not a strick set of guidelines you must follow like the South Beach diet.

The only diet that will help you achieve weight loss and good eating habits is one that you can stick to. We are not made to only eat fats and proteins because our body needs carbohydrates and we cannot eat only a group of foods as our body needs a different variety to stay strong and healthy.

Here are a couple tips that should help you eat what you need to and avoid foods that you don't need.

1) Consume more greens and vegtables in your diets as we live in a day and age where walking to the store and back or working out in the field all day is not apart of most of our lifestyles.

2) Try to eat more healthy fats like olive oil, avocado, flax seed oil, and nuts instead of trans and saturated fats.

3) Eat a variety of different color and taste foods so your body gets all the vitamins and minerals it needs.

4) The fact is that we cannot get enough vitamins and minerals from our food as we like so supplemention is key for the healthy body.

5) Last, try your best to consume foods as natural as possible and not processed. I am not saying only eat organic foods but do your best to eat freshly as possible foods.

Our body need all sorts of macro and micro nutrients to get enough vitamins and minerals to support digestion and the activity in our lives. If you do not focus on your nutrition than working out will give very few results.

The best possible advice I can give to you about foods not to eat is foods that are greatly processed and made. I love to make things from scratch and that is why I don't have to have health insurance for the most part.

Build your body against all the unwanted sicknesses and diseases out there by exercing and eating healthy.

For now that is it but please give me some response on what you would like me to research and find out for you while adding in my top weight loss site websites information.

Have a great day and God bless!

LA Fitness Becoming #1

As you might know that I am working as a personal trainer and nutrition consulor with some really awesome trainers. This is my first time working at LA Fintess and I have to say the members here are the most enjoyable that all the other gyms I worked at.

Most people that come to me for training want to achieve weight loss and toning their body as are women. I do think guys like to tell them how to lift weights. I know a year or two ago I would not listen so I am not any better.

While it has only been a month at LA Fitness I have to tell people that I have found 24 hour, Gold's, and other gyms not as enjoyable as LA Fitness. They offer their members so much and the people I work with that do memberships and sales actually care about people joining to improve their health.

This has been an awesome place to be apart of and I can't wait till I get to start training some athletes.

I will start writing reviews about certain gyms on my website top weight loss site in a little while so that is something I have to look forward too.

Well, have a great day and God bless!

Can Substitutes Kill You?

Can food we believe to be healthy actually be hurting our weight loss, bodies and our health. So, are so-called health foods and sugar-free substitutes actually good for us?

Aspartame is known for being 200 times sweeter than actual sugar and that is why most people use it instead of normal sugar.

What they didn't tell you is that in a study done in 1970 showed aspartic acid caused holes in mices brains and monkey died or had grand mal seizures.

Since 1980 many complaints have been pouring into the FDA offices about people having head aches, mood swings, increase appetite, and much more. People's appetite increase because sweeters are so sweet that once they hit the mouth they signal the body carbohydrates are coming when they are really not.

Depression is believed to be the biggest downfall of sweeters as they give our body that instant sweet burst them there are actually no calories involve.

I don't know much about substitutes as I use them all the time but maybe it is time we start watching actually how much we use. I will put more information soon on my website top weight loss site later.

Have a great the and God bless!

New Years Resolutions Are Dead

It is about that time when everyones new years resolutions are slowly dying down and in about a month our society will be back to its normal schedule and thinking next year will be the year to achieve weight loss.

How many years have we done this?

I believe the United States is the nation of procrastination as we set our minds to so many things but never finish them or even give them a chance to work out. Health and fitness is one of the biggest things people put off because of the lack of time in their lives.

Simplicity is what I believe to be the problem in our society today. We all have busy lives but do you know how that effects our health? It is possible to slow down and try a little to ease our lives for the better of having a long life.

I will talk about this later but for now just think about it and tell me what you think as making our lives having less stress will help you live longer and achieve weight loss, health, and fitness.

2. Join an Intramural Sport
This is a fun way to meet more people and get enough exercise.

3. Go for a Walk with Friends
Stay fit and catch up with friends at the same time. Instead of taking a short to your dorm try to take a scenic route and get a little exercise.

This is a great way to include fitness while getting credits for it. Weight lifting, running or dance can be great exercise for you.

Healthy Eating At College Part 4

Dorm Room Remedies

What do I do if I am already on a weight loss meal plan but I still get hungry inbetween meals, when I am studying, and at night?

Keep you room filled with healthy snacks for those times when your body needs that extra energy. But if possible, try to survive without food after 10pm as your body will stored that food as fat if you don't burn it off before you go to bed.

Some healthy snacks:

  • Oatmeal
  • Peanuts
  • Tuna fish
  • Fresh fruit
  • Vegetables
  • Protein bars
If you are a big lover of pizza and other snacks at 2am in the morning than I believe the best thing to do is train your body not to be hungry at night. Having snacks throughout the day is fine but at 2am you are just looking to gain weight.

Try to avoid these foods as much as possible if you are able to or just eat them in moderation and not all at night. If you want to achieve weight loss than you will have to focus on what you eat.

Good luck and God bless!

Nutrition 101: The Food Groups

It is important to include all food groups into your healthy eating plan for weight loss.

Grains - Gives your brain and muscle energy while being a great source of vitamin-B and iron. Great sources of grains are brown rice, potatoes, and whole wheat breads.

Fruits & Vegetables - Helps our vision, hair, blood, and our immune system. They are also great sources of vitamins like A & C, minerals, and fiber. In todays society it would be wise to consume 5 to 7 servings of fruits and vegetables each day.

Milk/Dairy - Helps strong bones and teeth while having great sources of protein and calcium. Try to get 3 servings of dairy foods a day.

Meat/Protein - Helps build muscle, fight infections, and is a great source of protein. Try to consume a little protein with each meal as it will help curve your appetite and speed up your metabolism.

Fats and Oils - Keeps our hair and skin healthy and having the fullness to them. Healthy fats are good for you but consume them in moderation.

Most people do not get enough vitamins and minerals in their diet so make sure you are eating a balanced diet with all these food choices to help you achieve healthy living and weight loss.

Eating Healthy At College Part 2

College Eating Dilemmas

What if there is no food I like?

To achieve weight loss with the food you don't like you must be creative. An example is mixing foods together like grilled chicken in your salad. Try new things that are healthy to find things that you like.

What if I am a vegetarian?

Most colleges have vegetarian choices of food at each meal like salad, vegtables, etc.

What if I have class during the meal?

Make time to eat even if you have to quickly pack a little healthy snack. Food gives our brain the energy to think and stay alert so fuel your brain for class while being eating healthy.

How can I maintain good nutrition?

Try different meals and search around for what you like but don't skip meals. The next post will be on Nutrition 101 and will give you some healthy eating choices for weight loss.

Till then have a great day and God bless!

The Great Dumbbell Handbook Breakdown

Weight Training Safety Tips

1) Always warm up before you start a workout

Warming up the whole body before training is important for safe and productive workouts. Warming up can be as simple as performing a specific exercise at 25% to 50% of the weight you normally use. It is very simple so warm up before starting your workout and can help weight loss.

2) Use proper posture

Improving or maintaining good posture will greatly reduce the chances of injury and maximize exercise gains and benefits. Good posture is like sitting up straight when lifting weights or standing with feet shoulder width apart while not locking the knees. Making sure not to twist or arch to complete an exercise. Good posture can make or break your physical health.

3) Use proper form

Focus on only working the muscle groups intended for the exercise you are doing. If you feel strain elsewhere you may need someone to critique your exercise motion or reevaluation the amount of weight you are lifting. Keeping proper form also means lifting in a smooth fluid motion. Know when your muscles are too tired to keep going.

4) Breathe properly

Never hold your breath during any part of an exercise. Holding your breath may cause severe intrathoracic pressure and raise blood pressure leading to dizziness, blackout or worse! The rule of thumb is to exhale slowly on exertion and inhale on the return part to the exercise.

5) Stop training if you feel pain

If you feel any pain during a specific exercise, stop immediately to avoid any injury that may occur. Any continuation may lead to future pain or injury that can lead to years and years of pain that is not needed. Make sure you are using proper form and lift only the weights that you can do with good form.

LA Fitness is Giving Back

I have work at several gyms in Washington and California but LA Fitness in Glendoria California is the best so far. I am use to people signing up to workout at regular gym and forget to come or quit a few months later.

Not LA Fitness!

This is the first time I have worked at a gym that I interact with people so thrilled and excited to be apart of this club. You can almost say we are just a big family.

People sign up at gyms for weight loss, exercise, and a place to releave their stress. As a personal trainer I am finding it easier than ever to come to work and train for several hours just because of my clients attitudes.

If their is a LA Fitness around your area please check it out with a free day pass they give out so you can see what I am talking about.

Have a great Day & God Bless!

Importance of Nutrition For Weight Loss

Eating right is 80% of weight loss as it is way easier to eat 1000 calories less than to burn off 1000 calories. Focuses on nutrition I have to say is one of the hardest things I had to work on as I love food and all kinds.

My first recommendation is to start the day off right and have a good breakfast that will give your body a jumpstart on your bodies fat burning. Second, monitor what you eat to make sure you are eating less than what your body burns. Last, eat every three to four hours to keeps your metabolism high and keep your appetite down.

If you choose to workout than I recommend doing outdoor activities, joining a gym or purchasing a bowflex hom gym. Speed up the weight loss with resistance training and cardiovascular training like lifting weights and running or biking.

Good Luck and God Bless!

A New Adventure

I have began a new journey in California where I am going to college and working at LA Fitness. It is amazing to be apart of this fitness gym as it is much larger than the others I have worked at and a new opportunity for me to learn new people.

I sold my car to a family member as I am saving up for a new sport jeep that I will be able to take my mountain bike, snowboard, camping gear, etc. with me on trips. This has left me with just my specialized mountain bike to ride to work and back and is about 20 minutes both ways.

I thought in the beginning this would be a tiring way to get to work but actually it has been the best part of my job. For 20 minutes there and back I listen to my christian music and God ready clams my heart and gives me joy each day.

Sometimes all we need is to take a bike ride and listen to God's word and it will give us more relaxation and comfort than anything we have tried.

Eventhough I am getting great exercise and condition with my bike rides I feel that it is doing more work on my soul. My believe our bodies are temples for our Father and if you have not discovered his comfort and love than please take the time and let him into your heart.

Thank You and God Bless!

Bowflex #1 Home Gym

I am not going to lie and say that I don't care about Bowflex because I do but it is the #1 home gym around that will help you achieve your weight loss goals. Bowflex is an all-in-one home exercise gym which allows users to work all areas in their body for maximum gains.

Bowflex is a little expensive but that is why I love how they made it so affordable with the low monthy payments. Other fitness equipment may cost around $1000 or more but if you are serious about losing weight and improve your health.

It is so effective because of the Bowflex bows that are known to be smoothier than even free weights with the resistance. Machines and other exercise equipment give you a range of motion but Bowflex bows let you control the motion in the exercise. This will strengthen your core while you are working your upper and lower body giving you the strength to get rid of back pain and unwanted fat.

Bowflex has always been the #1 home gym ever created and can work for you in your own home if this is what you are looking for.

Good Luck and God Bless!

Most Powerful Foods

So what are the four amazing foods to eat for weight loss and better health?

1. Berries

According to a study by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, blueberries are one of the best foods for antioxidant-rich fruits. Right below blueberries are cranberries, blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries.

2. Dark, Leafy Greens

Everything from spinach, kale, and dark lettuces are loaded with vitamins, minerals, beta-carotene, vitamin C, folate, iron, magnesium, carotenoids, phytochemicals, and antioxidants. I also would like to add they are filled with fiber so they will keep you fuller for longer that will help you lose weight.

3. Fatty Fish

Fish like salmon, trout and tuna contains very healthy fats as they are rich in omega-3 fatty acids that can help protect your heart. Omega-3 also has the ability to lower blood fats and prevent blood clots that cause heart disease. Two servicings twice a week is the recommended amount one needs to eat.

4. Whole Grains

Whole grains contain folic acid, selenium, and vitamin B that are heart healthy, help weight loss, and reduces the risk of diabetes. Whole grains are also very high in fiber that will keep you fuller and promotes digestive health.

The Bottom Line

The food you eat determines whether you are healthy or it can lead to a development of disease. Nothing beats the real thing of whole nutritist food that will give you a healthy body and can help you achieve weight loss. Comsume these foods as much as possible to benfit your health.

Good Luck and God Bless!

Dangers of Fad Dieting

How many time have you heard or read about a new weight loss solution that has help hundreds of people already but by the time you try it out it barely does anything for you?

They always sound too good to be true and guest what; they are. Most of the diets you have heard or read about are ineffective and dangerous.

Problems with Fad Diets

How many diets are not nutritionally sound. Most of the diets you know have at least one flaw-they tell you too eat only one type of food. When we do this we deprive our body from important vitamins and minerals that are left out when you eat only one type of food.

Weight loss is only temporary. The weight loss people achieve from these diets is usually water weight and they will gain it all right back.

Fad diets cause muscle loss. The nutrition that is focused on in most of these diets cause muscle loss. When weight is gained backed it is gained back in less muscle and more fat having you fatter than when you started the diet. The less lean muscle mass you have on your body the less calories you need to maintain the muscle that lower your basic metabolic eate (BMR).

Stay away from fad diets that will just lead you away from your weight loss goals.

Good luck and God bless!

Causes of Obesity

Reasons For People Being Obese

There are so many reasons why people become overweight and obese but the most important factor that causes obesity is the lifestyle. The lifestyle explains two main problems that cause gaining weight: too much food and too little activity.

While people's diets consist of high calorie foods and with having a sedentary lifestyle makes weight loss impossible.

Evidence suggests that obesity has more than one cause: genetic, environmental, psychological and other factors may all play a part.

It is our fault whether we are overweight or not and it is time we take control of our lives and become the healthest country in the world. Achieving weight loss is not impossible but can become a challenge if you go on a yo-yo diet that will have your diet going up and down.

Good Luck and God Bless!
