Thank you for posting these benefits of green tea!

As a cancer prevention researcher I religiously have my four cups per day! Green tea has been shown to have a protective effect against the development of cancers of the stomach, esophagus, breast and bladder. Smokers who drink green tea have decreased oxidative DNA damage. Perhaps that is why is Asia, where much of the world's green tea is consumed, they have a lower rate of lung cancer despite a higher rate of smoking.

Interestingly, following the unexpected regression of cancer in a few patients who self-initiated treatment with green tea, a National Cancer Institute sponsored trial of green tea extracts for patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia was begun at the Mayo Clinic!

One word of note. Drink it straight, or at least without dairy. Adding milk or cream possibly inactivates the catechins in green tea.
